Art and Design
At Old Buckenham High School, we believe that Art and Design plays a vital role in helping our students grow into creative, thoughtful, and confident young people. Through developing their artistic skills and exploring a wide range of materials and techniques, students are encouraged to express themselves, take creative risks, and discover new ways of seeing the world around them.
Rooted in our core values of Community, Ambition and Respect, the Art and Design curriculum fosters not only technical ability but also self-belief and resilience. Whether students are painting, drawing, designing, or exploring digital media, they are challenged to think critically, reflect deeply, and take pride in their work.
Our beautiful rural setting in the heart of Norfolk offers endless inspiration, and we make the most of this with projects that celebrate both local culture and global artistic movements. Pupils’ artwork is regularly showcased around the school and within the wider community, helping to build confidence and a strong sense of identity.
