Prom

Prom

At Old Buckenham High School, the Year 11 Prom is a special occasion marking the end of Key Stage 4 and a celebration of five years of dedication, growth, and hard work in preparation for GCSEs. It is also a memorable chance for students to come together one final time before many take different paths into post-16 education.

Attendance at Prom is linked to our Passport to Prom initiative, where students work towards earning 140 Prom Points. These points can be achieved through good attendance, creating revision timetables, attending study sessions, and demonstrating commitment to their learning. The scheme gives students the opportunity to secure their place at Prom, with plenty of routes available to help them succeed.

The evening itself is always a highlight of the school year. Students make their arrivals in everything from sports cars to tractors, cheered on by staff and peers, before enjoying an evening of celebration in their glamorous outfits and stylish hairdos. It is truly a wonderful occasion, and a fitting finale to their journey with us.
