Hello and welcome to the parents and carers of all our new Year 7 students moving up to Old Buckenham High School in September.
My name is Sean Alderson and I am the teacher in charge of Transition and Year 7. Myself and the rest of the school are looking forward to meeting you all and inviting you in to our school community.
This year our Year 6 transition to high school will be very different to previous year’s due to Covid 19 (corona virus). However, we are determined to ensure that all families have the support they need to be able to start with us in a positive way.
Despite this lockdown period, I can assure you we are working hard to make your child's transition to OBHS as smooth as possible and we will keep in touch, making sure that you are kept informed of developments as we go through this term.
You will have already received information from the school and we will be adding to this transition page over the coming weeks.
This will include:
- A message from our AHT Pastoral – Mr A Dwight
- Information on our Behaviour and Rewards systems
- A personal message from Mr Alderson to students
- Information on Curriculum and Assessment
The transition team will be sending out an information pack and contacting you personally by Friday 5th June.
On this page you will find two sources of information that we wish to share with you.
We at OBHS hope you and your family are all well and staying safe and look forward to meeting you in the near future.
Please find below our welcome from the Headteacher, Mr Fell.
