Home Learning
Welcome to the OBHS home learning page

The aim of this page is to help you to access learning outside the classroom. The reasons you might want to access remote learning resources may be for homework, revision, or additional resources, or it could be to access your classes remotely for example if the school has a snow day or you are unable to make it into school.

Whatever the reason for your visit this page aims to help you find what you are looking for and guide you to continue learning wherever you might be.

1.     Where can I find out about the homework, I have been set by my class teachers?

You will find your homework on the Go for school’s app

2.     I am learning remotely, where can I find out what I have to do?

The way that you will be learning depends on the circumstances of the school. If you are away from school, but the rest of your class and year group are in school you will be asked to complete the work you would have been undertaking in school. We call this asynchronous learning, where you will have been set work through the go for schools app called ‘remote learning’. Use the app to access the instructions form your teacher about the work that should be undertaken and how your teacher would like to hand this into them.

Click on the go for school’s link above to find out what your teachers have asked you to do.

If the whole class, year, or school is learning remotely, you will be told so by your teacher. In these circumstances you will be asked to learn synchronously. This means accessing a ‘Teams’ meeting online and meeting with your class to undertake the class virtually. Your teacher will tell you about the lesson and what you need to do to complete the work.

3.     I have been asked to access resources on SharePoint – what do I do?

At OBHS we use Microsoft SharePoint to save our work and share some resources such as schemes of learning or revision notes. You may be asked to access a file from SharePoint as part of your home learning task. Click the link below to access the student SharePoint portal.
