Red Nose Day Friday 19th March 2021 and School Allotment
This year we will be doing two things to support the superb work The Papillon Project is undertaking in the school allotment:
- Charity donations for our new polytunnel - Students can contribute towards the £200 we need to raise for a polytunnel. Cash will be collected in buckets on arrival and donations will be split between Red Nose Day and our allotment appeal.
- Grow a sunflower - Students can purchase a sunflower seed and pot for £1, to be planted in the allotment, for a tallest sunflower competition.
Christmas Hampers
Unfortunately we will not be putting together the usual Christmas hampers this year, however Old Buckenham Church Rooms will be open on Christmas Eve should anyone wish to make a donation of non perishable foods to be donated to St Martins Housing Trust. The items are redistributed to people who have recently been homeless and are now trying to get back on their feet.
World Aids Day
On 1 December 2020 students to wear either a home made red ribbon or a single item of red clothing with their school uniform to raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. Donations gratefully received.
Children in Need
We held a non-uniform day for Children in Need this year with a theme of ‘Superheroes’. We were delighted to raise over £460 to support this worthwhile cause.
Comic Relief
Last year we raised over £600 for Comic Relief by doing a variety of activities including sponsored silences and cake sales.
