The Key Stage 4 curriculum at Old Buckenham fully meets the new national GCSE framework and will ensure that your child experiences a broad and balanced curriculum experience. It will enable your child to secure the subject grades and relevant subject combinations that will maximise their opportunities for progression into further education, higher education as well as into employment and training.
These are the subjects that everyone studies, but at levels appropriate to their ability:
• Cultural and Social Studies (which includes PSHEE, RE and Citizenship)
• Physical Education
These are the subjects which we feel will play to the students’ strengths and talents and interests. There are two routes which are explained in detail in the following booklet:
(please be advised that options are subject to change each academic year depending on the curriculum)
Year 10 students have a week of work experience in July each year. More details will be added nearer the time.
