The structure
Our curriculum will be innovatively designed and incorporate the very best practice we can find, that we judge meets the personalised needs of our learners.
It will feature:
- A well-constructed “bridge” from KS2 to KS3
- A KS3 that is condensed for some students in the core subjects
- Some learners taking GCSEs early
- A broad range of assessment opportunities
- Enriched opportunities for all learners to enjoy and achieve in addition to the traditionally assessed subjects
- Regular opportunities to collapse the “normal” timetable
- The cross-curricular dimensions of Healthy Lifestyles, Community Participation and Technology and the Media
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
- Strong elements of collaboration
- A flexible staffing structure to ensure that it is future-proofed
